Fitting and tyre pressure

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified fitter, and make sure the rotation arrow on the sidewall points in the direction of travel. Fit a new inner tube of the matching size and check that the rim tape covers every spoke nipple. Set the pressure cold to the figure in your bike’s owner’s manual or on the chain guard or swingarm sticker, and check it regularly. New tyres have a smooth surface, so ride gently for the first 100 to 150 km while the tread scrubs in.

This is a tube-type (TT) tyre. It must be used with an inner tube of the matching size, and spoked rims need a rim tape. It is not designed to run without a tube.

100 is the tread width in millimetres, 90 is the aspect ratio (the sidewall height is 90% of the width), the dash means bias-ply (cross-ply) construction, and it fits a 19-inch rim.

Is this a front or rear tyre?
