First service kit for Honda CB125F

A first service kit should be boring and complete: oil, filter, spark plug — then a quick pad and air-filter check.

Confirm year and engine stamp first. The New Rider page covers the basics; Shop Your Ride keeps SKUs on the right bike.

Oil + filter

Use the viscosity your handbook specifies. Pair fresh oil with the correct filter for your year — do not guess from another “Honda 125” listing.

Spark plug

Read the code on the old plug or the handbook. A single NGK is enough for the first service.

Rider in full gear
Service early — the CB125F is a workhorse when the basics stay fresh.

Pads + air filter

Measure pad thickness and inspect the air filter. Replace only what is worn, using Shop Your Ride for the right FA code.
