Which bikes does it suit?
This tyre suits motorcycle motorcycles that use a 120/70-17 tyre on the front wheel. Check the size printed on the sidewall of your current tyre or in your owner’s manual before you order, and keep the same or a higher load index and speed rating.
Not sure? Use Shop Your Ride to find parts for your bike, or WhatsApp 079 231 2573 with your bike’s make, model and year.
Fitting and tyre pressure
Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified fitter, and make sure the rotation arrow on the sidewall points in the direction of travel. Set the pressure cold to the figure in your bike’s owner’s manual or on the chain guard or swingarm sticker, and check it regularly. New tyres have a smooth surface, so ride gently for the first 100 to 150 km while the tread scrubs in.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a tubeless or tube-type tyre?
Check the sidewall of your current tyre: TUBELESS or TL means no tube is needed on a tubeless rim, while TT or TUBE TYPE means an inner tube is required. WhatsApp 079 231 2573 if you are unsure.
How do I read the size 120/70-17?
120 is the tread width in millimetres, 70 is the aspect ratio (the sidewall height is 70% of the width), the dash separates the profile from the rim size, and it fits a 17-inch rim. The 58S after the size is the load index 58 (236 kg per tyre) and speed rating S (up to 180 km/h).
Is this a front or rear tyre?
This size is a front tyre. Front and rear tyres have different profiles and construction, so fit it on the front wheel only and pair it with a matching rear.
Can Bike Sense deliver or fit this tyre?
