Which bikes does it suit?

This tyre suits motorcycle motorcycles that use a 200/60R17 tyre on the rear wheel. Check the size printed on the sidewall of your current tyre or in your owner’s manual before you order, and keep the same or a higher load index and speed rating.

Not sure? Use Shop Your Ride to find parts for your bike, or WhatsApp 079 231 2573 with your bike’s make, model and year.

Fitting and tyre pressure

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified fitter, and make sure the rotation arrow on the sidewall points in the direction of travel. On tubeless rims, fit a new tubeless valve with every tyre change. Set the pressure cold to the figure in your bike’s owner’s manual or on the chain guard or swingarm sticker, and check it regularly.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a tubeless or tube-type tyre?

This is a tubeless (TL) tyre. On a tubeless rim it seals against the rim bead, so no inner tube is needed. Fit a new tubeless valve when you replace the tyre. On spoked rims that are not tubeless, run it with an inner tube of the correct size.

How do I read the size 200/60R17?

200 is the tread width in millimetres, 60 is the aspect ratio (the sidewall height is 60% of the width), R means radial construction, and it fits a 17-inch rim.

Is this a front or rear tyre?

This size is a rear tyre. Front and rear tyres have different profiles and construction, so fit it on the rear wheel only and pair it with a matching front.

Can Bike Sense deliver or fit this tyre?

Yes. Bike Sense delivers tyres and tubes across South Africa from our Pretoria shop. Prices include VAT and delivery is quoted for your town. For delivery or fitting, WhatsApp 079 231 2573.
